Modern Craftsman

Originally dark and hidden behind overgrown shrubs, this Craftsman Style home emerged with a lighter look and feel. The original porch had been incorporated into the main house some time in the past so a new porch was designed that widened the front facade and returned the house to its classic roots.

The kitchen was lightened with new white cabinetry and Danby marble counter tops. A beautiful LaCanche range is the centerpiece of the kitchen and is reflected in the glass doors of the new storage piece opposite.. A center island was constructed from antique wood and provides a rustic counter point to the clean lines of the rest of the kitchen.

Brass and polished nickel hardware and lighting are mixed throughout the house.

Upstairs, the master bath tile wall provides a graphic backdrop for the relocated antique tub.
